Control and Simulation of Servomotor Systems Using Macintosh Iix

Abstract

An automatic control laboratory has been built to provide capabilities for teaching system modelling, parameter identification, and design of feedback control systems. Experiments in the laboratory focus on control of DC servomotors using Macintosh IIx computers. The computers are used not only for data acquisition, signal processing and control, but also for analysis and simulation. This paper describes the lab set-up and discusses the results of experiments and simulations.
