Abstract
"Several methods of analysis were employed to investigate the stress conditions of concrete block built in the MONOWALL Construction System, when subjected to racking loads. MONOWALL is a technique of assembling blocks with adhesive rather than conventional portland cement mortar. The analyses used in this study included strain gages on full-scale walls, photoelastic models, and a mathematical solution. Each method of analysis is reported separately in detail and the results compared to each other"--Abstract, page ii.
