Masters Theses
Title
Characteristics of laser forming austenitic stainless steel alloys
Keywords and Phrases
Multiple pass laser forming
Abstract
"This thesis discusses the investigation of laser forming austenitic stainless steel alloys for the development of free curve and complex shapes...Previous work in this area has focused on the development of single angle laser forming and process optimization fro the development of multi-dimensional shapes. This thesis seeks to discuss the relationship of multiple parallel laser passes and any coupling effects that may exist for the class of austenitic stainless steels, including any metallurgical implications"--Abstract, page iii.
