Microbial populations in anaerobic swine lagoon treatment

Abstract

"The averarching goal of this study was to elucidate the microbial populations present in anaerobic swine lagoons under various operating conditions and seasons. Identification and quantification of microbial populations at both trophic levels and species levels will provide information that will lead to more effective management and treatment of swine manure and other agricultural wastes."--Introduction, pages 3-4.
