Magnetic and Crystallographic Structure of Ho₆Mn₂₃D₂₂
Abstract
Powder neutron diffraction data of Ho6Mn23D22 were analyzed by a modified Rietveld technique. At 298 K the space group is Fm3m; at 9 K, P4/mmm. At 298 K the deuteriums occupy the a, f3, j and k sites. At 9 K, a noncollinear antiferromagnetic structure is found with Ho moments of ≈ 3.5 μB/atom on all sites. © 1986.
