Abstract

"This article is dedicated and addressed to any man who contemplates a prospecting expedition in Mexico. I have made no attempt at a display of literary elegance, or scientific erudition. My aim has been to point out and explain such of the conditions of the business as are peculiar to Mexico. If any one, after having perused these pages, should find himself thereby the better able to cope with the difficulties of such an expedition, a rather unprofitable experience of the writer will have been not wholly fruitless"--page 31.
