Research Priorities in Exploration, Mining and Processing: An Interim Report from the Sme Research Council

Abstract

The SME Research Council wishes to share with the membership of the Society its deliberations on the important unresolved issues in mining - to include exploration and processing - that could be the subject of beneficial research programs. Whether undertaken by private enterprise, government, universities or consortia of all of these, answers to these problems will make the mineral enterprise safer, more efficient and more environmentally compatible.
