Abstract

A silver-doped, nano-porous hydroxyapatite material is provided that can be utilized to capture radioactive iodine, ¹²⁹I. Methods of using the silver-doped, nano-porous hydroxyapatite material to remove radioactive iodine, and methods of manufacturing the material are also provided.
