2017 MEETING: SAVE THE DATE!

On October 12th and 13th, Missouri University of Science and Technology will host Institutional Repository Day and Digital Commons-Heartland User Group, a two-day conference dedicated to sharing ideas, innovations, and best practices for institutional repositories. Thursday, Oct. 12, is IR Day, which will focus on issues common to repository management. Friday, Oct. 13, is the inaugural meeting of DC-HUG and will focus on Digital Commons topics as well as organization of the user group (yes, it's Friday the 13th!). Please feel free to register for either or both days.

Registration

Registration is free but please register in advance. Lodging is at your expense. Thursday lunch will be sponsored by Missouri State University Libraries. A reception on Thursday evening at Meramec Vineyards, sponsored by bepress, will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres. Friday lunch will be sponsored by the Curtis Laws Wilson Library, Missouri S&T.

Presentations

If you would like to make a presentation at either IR Day or the DC-HUG meeting, please submit via the sidebar link. We are accepting proposals for forty-minute presentations, lightning talks or a poster session.

The 2017 IR Day and DC-HUG meeting will be held in Missouri S&T's Havener Center, 2nd floor, Meramec Gasconade Room 208, 1346 North Bishop Avenue (US Hwy 63), Rolla.

Travel and transportation

Missouri S&T is easily accessible from I-44 or US-63. Flights into Saint Louis or Springfield, Missouri, will require about a two hour drive to Rolla on I-44. A campus map is available under Conference Links in the sidebar. See below for parking information.

Parking

Free parking is available in the Havener Center's visitor parking lot, which is accessible directly via State Street or through Lot 13 via Miner Circle. Visitors may also use metered spaces anywhere on campus or street parking. Please see the campus parking map.

Rolla area

If you would like to extend your stay, there are many things to do, including Old Iron Days at the Meramec State Park. A description of last year's events will give you an idea of the week-end fun.
