Aerosol Particle and Droplet Scavenging by Snow Crystals
Abstract
An account is given on the main processes governing the aerosol particle and small droplet direct deposition or scavenging by snow crystals of different forms and the important parameters formulated. It is demonstrated that the knowledge of the total scavenging element and particle concentration and their size distribution enables to model a specific snowfall event and to calculate its scavenging efficiency.
