Three-body Coulomb Problem Probed by Mapping the Bethe Surface in Ionizing Ion-atom Collisions
Abstract
An extremely sensitive and challenging realization of the three-body Coulomb problem at large perturbations and large distances is presented. This realization can serve as a benchmark system for the development and test of theoretical approaches that incorporate the time evolution of three pointlike particles mutually interacting through the nonrelativistic Coulomb force.
