Analysis of Clamped Circular Cylindrical Shells Using Basic Functions

Abstract

A rigorous solution for a circular cylindrical shell clamped along all the four edges is presented. The application of the method is illustrated with a numerical example and some study regarding the convergence of the series is made. The results obtained are compared with the existing results obtained by the finite difference technique.
