Masters Theses

A methodology to utilize low cost pilot in the loop flight simulation in aircraft accident investigation

Abstract

"Pilot in the loop flight simulation can be employed in an aircraft accident investigation to gain a better understanding of the causes of aircraft accidents. This thesis presents the methodology for generating and utilizing aircraft simulation models in various aricraft accident investigations by employing low cost commercially available software. The proposed approach involves generating a model, validating the model, and using the model to replicate portions of an aircraft's flight profile that is in question."--Abstract, page iii.
