Masters Theses

Synthesis of compliant single-strip mechanisms that may be represented by a single dyad

Abstract

"There are two primary objectives of this work: i. To develop an easy-to-use Matlabʼ program, 'Synthesis', with a Graphical User Interface (GUI), for designing pseudo-ridig-body four-bar mechanisms for three-precision positions and their corresponding compliant mechanisms for given energy specifications; and ii. To develop a generalized synthesis technique for designing single-strip mechanisms for energy and torque specifications."--Introduction, page 7.
