Abstract

"The present report, relative to the studies on the value of Cochasayhuas and descriptive of what was discovered and worked by me in that mining district, is written in fulfilment [sic] the commission which was entrusted to me at the begining [sic] of the month of April last. Special circumstances give to the studies made and conclusions formed a certain and appreciable value. There already existing in the Company's works various crushing machines and small tanks for cyaniding, I was able to see in great part the results of my tests with the metal in the chemical laboratory, in the actual work of grinding and valueing [sic], taking advantage of the results obtained and observing the defects in the existing system. It is tanks to this that I can now present a study with definite conclusions that display results obtained in the actual work, and from which the present methods can be improved, establishing a system more in harmony with modern practice and the exigencies of the mineral of Cochasayhuas"--Introduction, page 3.
