Abstract

This paper examines high-pressure, hydro-abrasive cutting. System performance parameters, cutting heads, energy loss and abrasive particle acceleration during abrasive ejection, and water/abrasive jet volume considerations are discussed. Hydro-abrasive interference with the workpiece is also covered.
