An Analysis of One Possibility for Pulsating a High Pressure Water Jet

Abstract

On the basis of the present state-of-the-art, the author presents a discussion of a new method for producing a jet made up of distinct liquid segments. In this article, a theoretical analysis of the potential for use of laser beams to cut a regular jet into separate segments is presented. The level of laser beam frequency, power consumption and the anticipated shape of the leading edge of segment are also discussed. (A)
