Abstract

"The Virtual Environment Navigation Pad (VENP) is a new navigation device that facilitates navigation (walking, running and turning) of a participant inside a virtual environment. It simulates natural movement, gives good orientation control, and allows walking or running in both forward and backward directions. This thesis presents our development of the Virtual Environment Navigation Pad and its capabilities"--Abstract, leaf iii.
