Structural identification of a smart truss for condition assessment

Abstract

"Investigations into monitoring of structural parameters have been ongoing for decades. The widespread application of long-term data acquisition of numerous structures has been few. This thesis investigates the sensing, acquisition, and processing of structural information for decision and control. Decision making for structural applications has a variety of applications. The application studied in this thesis is concerned with the change in model parameters and its inference to the structure's condition"--Abstract, page iii.
