Abstract

"A crystallographic study was made of powders from the LaCr1-x AlxO₃, La.90(Mg.05 Cr1-x Alx ).95O2.83 , and La1±xCrO₃ systems. The relationships between composition and thermal expansion, electrical conductivity, and vaporization were also investigated. The x-ray diffraction data of the LaCrCO₃ - LaAlO₃ compounds showed the system to form a single phase solid solution for any given sample from the series. The orthorhombic to rhombohedral phase transition was depressed to below room temperature at approximately 13% Al+3 substitution"--Abstract, page ii.
