Abstract
"Digital relaying equipment has replaced the older relays and with this installation all utility companies are facing the problem of large data residing in the relays...The vast amount of power system data available requires new techniques for extracting relevant information for study. The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the data at hand on a statistical basis and obtain the relevant information from the data."--Introduction, page 1-2.
