Abstract

Epitaxial films of Fe₃O₄(111) are electrodeposited on single-crystal Ni(111). The lattice mismatch reduces from +138% in the 011 directions to -0.7% by forming a coincidence lattice in which 5 unit meshes of O overlap with 12 unit meshes of Ni. © 2011 American Chemical Society.
