Electronic Quenching of IF B³Π(0⁺) by I₂
Rate constants for the electronic quenching of IF B 3Π(0+) ν′ = 3-6 by I2 were measured to be kq = (3.5 ± 0.2) × 10-10 cm3 s-1 at 300 K using time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence. Fluorescence spectra were also obtained and possible quenching mechanisms are discussed on the basis of these results. © 1985.
