Faculty journal articles, conference proceedings, books/chapters will
be entered in to the repository by the Scholars' Mine staff. The
procedure by which this will be done is described below.
- Faculty works 2004-2008 will be added alphabetically by department
name by Scholars' Mine Staff.
- At this time, only published works 2004-2008 will be added. Future
additions will include earlier publications and other valuable scholarly
materials, such as technical reports.
- Publications will be added per the self-archiving policies of each work’s
publisher. About 70% of publishers allow us to place either the final version
or earlier versions of articles and proceedings in Scholars’ Mine. For the
remainder of publishers who do not allow this, we will still be linking to the
final full text version of faculty articles through our database subscriptions
when possible. This will ensure that your scholarly works will be represented
no matter who published your works. Library staff will find and follow the
rules laid out by each publisher, which can be found at publishers’ websites
and at http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo.php.
- When finished with a particular faculty member's works, someone from the
Scholars' Mine processing staff will contact you to let you know your work is
up. At this time, we may also ask you for assistance. We may need you
to provide a full text version of an article, supply keywords for your
works, or clarify any questions that we may have.
- At any time during this process, feel free to call (341-7910) or email
(scholarsmine@mst.edu) us with any questions you may have.
